Appliance Repair Pricing: $85 Service Call, Waived with Repair
★ 4.9 Google rating · $85 service call, waived with repair · 1-year warranty
Octopus Royal prices every repair the same way across Toronto and the GTA: an $85 service call that covers the diagnosis, a full quote before any work, and the $85 waived when you go ahead with the repair. Our in-house technicians find the real cause first, then quote the repair before any work starts, with no commission-based upselling.
No subcontractors. No commission-based pressure. No unnecessary upselling.
Simple, honest pricing for Toronto and GTA homes and condos
The $85 service call pays for a technician visit and a real diagnosis. Then you get one price for the whole repair, parts and labour, before anything is touched. Approve it and the $85 comes off. Decline it and you still know exactly what is wrong and what it would cost.
We fix the cause, not just the symptom, so the repair lasts, and every repair comes with a 1-year warranty on parts and labour.
How our pricing works
No price lists you have to decode, and no surprises on the invoice. This is how every Octopus Royal repair is priced:
Call, text or book online. We come to your home or condo anywhere in Toronto and the GTA.
The $85 covers the visit and the diagnosis: our technician finds the real cause, not just the symptom.
You get the full price for the repair, parts and labour, before anything is touched. No work starts without your OK.
If you approve the repair, the $85 service call is taken off. You pay the quoted price and nothing more.
If a repair would cost close to a new appliance, we tell you, and you decide. We will not sell you a repair that is not worth it.
Every repair is backed by a 1-year warranty on parts and labour.
Why we quote after the diagnosis, not before
The same complaint can have very different causes. A dryer that stops heating might need a small thermal fuse, a heating element, or only a vent cleaning. A fridge that runs warm might be a dusty condenser or a failed compressor. Until a technician has opened the appliance and tested the parts, any price is a guess, and guesses are how customers end up with surprise charges.
The price of a repair depends on:
- The part: a fuse, a belt or a drain pump costs far less than a control board or a compressor. We use genuine or factory-certified parts and tell you which one we are quoting.
- The appliance and brand: parts for premium brands (Miele, Bosch, Sub-Zero, Fisher & Paykel) cost more than for mainstream brands.
- Access: a built-in fridge, a stacked laundry pair in a condo closet or a dishwasher under a stone counter takes longer to open and reassemble.
- Hidden damage: a blocked vent that blew a fuse, or sand that damaged a pump, means fixing the cause too, so the repair lasts.
See real examples: Dryer not heating: blown fuse, crushed vent · GE fridge not cooling: fan frozen in ice · When we advised replacing instead of repairing
Octopus Royal uses in-house technicians only - no subcontractors, no commission-based pressure, and no unnecessary upselling.
We find the real cause before we quote, so the price you approve is the price you pay.
Before you book
- The brand and model number (usually on a sticker inside the door or on the back).
- What the appliance does and does not do, and when it started.
- A photo or short video of the problem if it is something you can see or hear.
- Clear access to the appliance so the technician can start right away.
Not sure what is wrong? That is what the service call is for. Call or text (647) 286-1327 and we will book a time that works for you.
Pricing FAQ
How much does appliance repair cost in Toronto?
It depends on the part and the appliance, so we do not quote blind. Our $85 service call covers the visit and the diagnosis; then you get the full repair price, parts and labour, before any work starts. If you go ahead, the $85 is waived.
What does the $85 service call include?
A technician visit to your home or condo, a proper diagnosis of the real cause, and a clear quote for the repair. If you approve the repair, the $85 is taken off the price.
Do I pay the $85 if I decide not to repair?
Yes. The $85 covers the technician's time and the diagnosis, and you keep the information: you know exactly what is wrong and what it would cost to fix, so you can decide between repair and replacement.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can usually tell you whether a problem is worth looking at, but a firm price comes after the diagnosis. Many symptoms have several possible causes with very different costs, and we would rather give you one accurate quote than a range that changes on the day.
Are there extra charges after the quote?
No. The quote you approve is the price you pay. If we find something else during the repair, we stop and tell you first.
Is the repair covered by a warranty?
Yes. Our repairs come with a 1-year warranty on parts and labour.
Do you repair or recommend replacing?
We tell you honestly. If a repair would cost close to the price of a new appliance, or the appliance is near the end of its life, we say so and let you decide.
